Seven for year seven

It is our aim to build bridges for persons with disabilities, as we forge ahead to impact some of our nation’s most vulnerable. Our annual 5K, which is our key awareness campaign, draws thousands to our headquarters downtown, all with one goal in mind- fundraising.

For this, our seventh year, we are aiming for a total of 13,000 participants, up from the 10,000 we hosted last year, as we seek to raise funds for seven amazing Special Needs Organisations.

These organisations: Jamaica Association on Intellectual Disabilities (JAID), Early Stimulation Programme (ESP), Community Based Rehabilitation Jamaica (CBRJ), Jamaica Autism Support (JASA), Jamaica Society for the Blind, Jamaica Down’s Syndrome Foundation and Promise Learning Centre, are run by people who work tirelessly every day to care for, encourage and support people with various types of intellectual and physical disabilities.

The work is not easy, we know this. The Digicel 5K Run for Special Needs is one way, with the support of our partners, stakeholders and fellow Jamaicans we can show these people that we care.
