CEO’s Message:
Karlene Dawson

Even though we’re only halfway through the 2018/2019 financial year, much has been achieved and many lives have been touched. And we’re still excited about what’s to come. Just look at some of what we’ve achieved so far.

  • Back in April we opened our tenth Centre of Excellence in Lyssons St Thomas, fulfilling a promise made by our Patron, Denis O’Brien to open or significantly upgrade ten Centres of Excellence across the island.
  • On Labour Day, we helped our friends over at the Portmore Self-Help Disability Organisation in Portmore to renovate their premises and later worked with teams from the government and surrounding communities to renovate the Cumberland Road Health Centre in Spanish Town, St Catherine.
  • Our signature event, the Digicel 5K for Special Needs happens on October 6, 2018 and we will once again to shine a light on our friends in the community, while raising funds for seven Special Needs organisations – this year our goal is 13,000 participants, up from 10,000 in 2017.

As we work towards creating a world where no one gets left behind, we look forward to the next six months of building bridges, building communities and building minds.
