Fleet Street with ‘Talk Up Yout’
Our partnership with Emprezz Golding’s ‘Talk up Yout’ radio programme took us to Fleet Street in Kingston on the last Saturday in June.
With the aim of reaching youth in more volatile areas, the team ventured to the inner city community to offer help and advice on how to start and maintain small businesses and social enterprises. Not only that, the young people in this community were also encouraged to discuss any concerns they might have.
A representative from the Life Yard Educational Entertainment Project, a social enterprise located on Fleet Street and a recipient of the Digicel Foundation’s Queen's Young Leaders Grant, spoke to how they started their business and offered advice to anyone with a similar idea.
We link up with ‘Talk Up Yout’ again in August for another inspiring story.
