Airy Castle Built from its Ashes
Efforts towards getting the fire-damaged Airy Castle Primary School in St. Thomas back to normal took another big step recently with a $200,000 donation from our Mek-A-Muckle grant programme. The money was used towards rebuilding the computer lab, resource room, library and canteen that were affected by the blaze in February. Our contribution will support a 3-month restoration and improvement plan to modernize the school with teaching and learning materials that will enrich the education process. The plan is part of school principal Dawn Graham’s mission to improve numeracy and literacy skills within a year for the 218 enrolled students.
