Jamaica shines at the Hero Village

Shane Hudson collected Jamaica’s first and only medal at the 2017 World Para Athletics Championships in London, England at the Hero Village of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. He won the Silver medal in the Men’s 400m T47 in a Personal Best time of 49.60s, narrowly losing the Gold to Austria’s Gunther Matzinger.


Having also copped Silver at the 2015 Games in Doha, Qatar. Shane remains the most decorated Jamaican para athlete in this event with this medal representing his 4th Silver overall.
