Let’s do it again for Special Needs at the Digicel 5K Run

Come Saturday, October 6, 2018, downtown Kingston will be abuzz with runners, walkers, wheelers and fun-loving participants in the annual Digicel 5K Night Run.

The event was launched with a twist this year, with Digicel Jamaica CEO, Justin Morin, making a personal pledge of $50,000. He then challenged Digicel ambassadors Usain Bolt, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Tifa to also make a pledge and encourage others to do the same.

The challenge is expected to go viral and create a wave of #Digicel5K commitments across social media. The idea here is to raise a record amount of funds for seven Special Needs organizations: Community Based Rehabilitation Programme; Early Stimulation Programme; Jamaica Association on Intellectual Disabilities; Jamaica Autism Support Association; Jamaica Down’s Syndrome Foundation; Jamaica Society for the Blind; and, the Promise Learning Centre.

Everyone can now sign up now for the Digicel 5K Night Run for Special Needs at www.runningeventsja.com.

There’s nothing like the bond between a  Real Dad and his child(ren). Watch as the finalists of the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) Festival Queen Competition share emotional tributes about the men who shaped their lives.
